China Changshu "the Belt and Road" (Pakistan) Center Launched

On 14th December, China Changshu "Belt and Road" (Pakistan) Centre was launched. Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Qin Meng met with Gohar Ejaz, Minister of Commerce of Pakistan, and attended the launching ceremony.

Qin Meng welcomed the arrival of Gohar Ejaz and his party and introduced the economic and social development of Changshu. He said, Changshu has a history of 1700 years of city building, because of "fertile soil, years without drought and water," so the name "Changshu". 40 years, Changshu's rapid economic development in the country's counties (cities, districts) has always ranked in the top four, many of the world's top 500 companies have set up factories in Changshu, and the world's top 500 companies have set up factories in Changshu. Many of the world's top 500 enterprises have set up factories in Changshu, and the products they produce are also exported to all parts of the world.

Qin Mang said that the relationship between Pakistan and China is very close, as close as brothers, and hoped that the two countries can have a better platform to promote friendly exchanges and economic exchanges between the two sides. As a testimony to the cooperation between the two sides, the launch of China Changshu "One Belt, One Road" (Pakistan) Centre will create a comprehensive service platform for economic and trade activities and open up a new situation for China-Pakistan cooperation.

Gohar Ejaz highly praised the achievements of Changshu's economic and social development, and was full of expectations for Changshu's future development. He said, in the context of building the "Belt and Road" initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Changshu and Pakistan have increasingly close trade cooperation, invested in each other's high-quality projects, and maintained friendly interactions in textiles, energy, agriculture and other aspects. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen docking, give full play to their respective resource endowments and other advantages, actively explore new directions of cooperation in the textile industry, renewable energy, high-tech industries and other aspects, innovate the mode of cooperation, and better achieve win-win development.

China Changshu "One Belt, One Road" (Pakistan) Centre is a centre for Chinese enterprises to develop economic and trade relations with the countries of the "One Belt, One Road" with the support of the embassies and consulates of 29 countries in China, including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
